Riders from all corners of the province embarked on a challenging journey, covering over 1000 kilometers through various weather conditions to raise funds for CASA. A Legacy of Care and Support: CASA’s journey began in 1988 when a group of parents and psychiatrists joined forces to address the limited mental health care options available for children and families in northern Alberta. Since its inception, CASA has grown exponentially, expanding its reach to serve Edmonton, central Alberta, and the northern regions. CASA’s unwavering dedication to delivering high-quality care within the community has remained steadfast throughout its history.
From CASA to CASA Mental Health: Originally standing for Child and Adolescent Services Association, CASA evolved its acronym while retaining the organization’s commitment to supporting the mental health of children, adolescents, and families. In 2022-2023, the organization simplified its name to CASA Mental Health, symbolizing a tribute to its roots while embracing a forward-looking approach. CASA Mental Health’s roadmap and vision for 2022-2027 strive to ensure access to child and adolescent services for all, fostering a community that prioritizes mental well-being.
